Papaya Collage and Ice Cream Shoppe collide!

Here is the first creation, as promised! I used the Paper Pumpkin introductory design to make this birthday card last night. It was a quick throw together. I used some of the Ice Cream Shoppe cutouts to expedite the process. Don't be surprised if this arrives in the mail for you!! ;-)

Paper Pumpkin Take 2!!!

I received my May Paper Pumpkin in the mail yesterday! My children asked me about it and were so intrigued as I opened the box to unveil the contents. I too was super excited. I snuck in some moments throughout the day to look at it and then I made the first card while my husband put the kids to bed. Then I made the rest while he was picking out a movie for us to watch! Yes, it was that quick!! And it was so easy! I must confess I changed the one pictured ever so slightly. Instead of using the included Basic Gray stampin' spot for the ink spot, I used my wisteria wonder and marina mist stampin' write markers. I must recant my statement in a previous post -- Paper Pumpkin is worth the price. I have four handmade cards, a great stamp, a small gray ink pad, a new D sized block, new ideas, and new inspiration! Worth every penny! I made four wonderful cards and am now inspired by the design to see what else I can do using another stamp set. That is my goal for the week: two more cards with the same design, different colors, paper, etc.

Tea Shoppe Still My Favorite!!!

In spite of the clean house I am supposed to be maintaining as of late, I decided to get messy in my "craft area." I have a guest coming over to stamp tomorrow and I wanted to do something a little different. Inspiration did not strike, so I decided to do a little CASEing. I found my inspiration at http://brandyscards.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Tea-Shoppe-5.jpg and here is what I came up with.... Tea Shoppe is so versatile. I think I'm going to try a couple more of Brandy's cards tomorrow. Happy Stampin!

PAPER PUMPKIN!!

The last ____ months ( I don't want to admit how long it has been!) have been a whirlwind. I won't bore you with the details, but I am determined to stamp every week again. My inspiration was the arrival of my trial "Paper Pumpkin" at my front door. I opened the box to find a quick and easy project that I could do in a matter of minutes. I must admit that the project I received was a little... blah. I needed some bling, so I added the button, rhinestones, and the little clip as a sort of book mark. It came with the stamps, the butterfly adhesives, the baker's twine, the book, and a small sample of Island Indigo ink. It's a cute little gift for someone or just to keep for myself! I must admit (...and I'm sorry Stampin' Up devotees...) I think it was a bit overpriced. I did get a size D clear block with it, but there wasn't much to it otherwise. I will sign up for my monthly Paper Pumpkin anyway! Curiosity and such... I do love my little book! It has inspired me to try and make some journals as gifts for people! I'm going to get started tonight!! Best....
